Ika (Squid)
Ika, or squid, are marine cephalopods belonging to the order Teuthida. They have elongated bodies, large eyes, and eight arms, along with two longer tentacles. Squid are known for their ability to change color and produce ink, which they use as a defense mechanism against predators. They inhabit various oceanic environments, from shallow coastal waters to deep-sea regions.
Squid are an important part of the marine food web, serving as prey for many species, including fish, seabirds, and marine mammals. They are also a popular seafood choice in many cultures, often prepared in dishes like sushi and calamari.
