Ijara
Ijara is an Islamic finance concept that refers to leasing or renting an asset. In this arrangement, the lessor (the owner) provides the asset to the lessee (the user) for a specified period in exchange for rental payments. The asset can be anything from property to equipment, and the terms are agreed upon in advance.
At the end of the lease term, the lessee may have the option to purchase the asset or return it to the lessor. This structure allows individuals and businesses to use assets without the need for large upfront payments, aligning with Shariah principles that prohibit interest.
