Sukuk
Sukuk are Islamic financial certificates similar to bonds, but they comply with Islamic law, or Sharia. Instead of paying interest, which is prohibited in Islam, Sukuk represent ownership in a tangible asset or project, allowing investors to earn returns through profit-sharing or rental income.
Sukuk can be issued by governments or corporations to raise funds for various purposes, such as infrastructure development or business expansion. They provide a way for Muslims to invest in financial products that align with their beliefs while also offering a means for issuers to access capital in a compliant manner.
