Iggy and the Stooges
Iggy and the Stooges is an American rock band formed in 1967 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The group is known for its raw sound and energetic performances, often considered pioneers of punk rock. The band's lineup originally included Iggy Pop as the lead vocalist, along with Ron Asheton on guitar, Dave Alexander on bass, and Scott Asheton on drums.
Their debut album, The Stooges, released in 1969, featured influential tracks like "I Wanna Be Your Dog." Despite initial commercial struggles, the band gained a cult following and has been credited with shaping the future of rock music. They reunited in the 2000s, continuing to perform and record new material.
