Icelandic National Olympic and Sports Association
The Icelandic National Olympic and Sports Association (ÍSÍ) is the governing body for sports in Iceland. Established in 1912, it oversees the organization and promotion of various sports activities, including the participation of Icelandic athletes in the Olympic Games. ÍSÍ works to develop sports at all levels, from grassroots to elite competition.
In addition to its Olympic responsibilities, ÍSÍ supports national sports federations and encourages physical activity among the population. The association also plays a key role in fostering international sports relations and ensuring that Icelandic athletes have access to training and competition opportunities worldwide.
