Ice Pack Treatment
Ice pack treatment is a common method used to reduce swelling and relieve pain in injuries. By applying cold to the affected area, blood vessels constrict, which helps decrease inflammation and numbs the pain. This treatment is often recommended for sprains, strains, and bruises.
To use an ice pack effectively, wrap it in a cloth to protect the skin and apply it for 15-20 minutes at a time. It’s important to take breaks between applications to prevent frostbite. Ice pack treatment can be repeated several times a day, especially in the first 48 hours after an injury.
