Iaijutsu
Iaijutsu is a traditional Japanese martial art focused on the quick drawing and cutting with a sword, typically a katana. Practitioners learn to draw their sword from its sheath and strike in a single, fluid motion, emphasizing speed, precision, and control.
The art form is often practiced as a form of meditation and discipline, with a strong emphasis on mental focus and awareness. Iaijutsu techniques are rooted in the samurai culture, and it is considered a precursor to modern Iaido, which incorporates more forms and kata for practice.
