ISS World
The International Space Station (ISS) is a large spacecraft that orbits Earth, serving as a unique laboratory for scientific research. It is a collaborative project involving multiple space agencies, including NASA, Roscosmos, ESA, JAXA, and CSA. The ISS provides a platform for experiments in various fields such as biology, physics, and astronomy, allowing scientists to study the effects of microgravity.
Launched in 1998, the ISS has been continuously inhabited since November 2000. It travels at a speed of about 28,000 kilometers per hour (17,500 miles per hour) and orbits Earth approximately every 90 minutes. The station is equipped with solar panels to generate power and supports a crew of astronauts from different countries.
