IP68
IP68 is a rating defined by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) that indicates a device's level of protection against dust and water. The "IP" stands for "Ingress Protection," and the two numbers that follow specify the degree of protection. The first digit, "6," means the device is completely dust-tight, while the second digit, "8," indicates it can withstand continuous immersion in water beyond 1 meter.
Devices with an IP68 rating, such as certain models of smartphones and watches, are designed to be durable and reliable in challenging environments. This makes them suitable for outdoor activities, where exposure to dust and water is common, ensuring they remain functional even in harsh conditions.
