IP rating
An "IP rating," or Ingress Protection rating, is a standard that indicates how well a device is protected against dust and water. It consists of two digits: the first digit represents solid particle protection, while the second digit indicates water resistance. For example, an IP67 rating means the device is completely dust-tight and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.
These ratings help consumers understand the durability of products like smartphones, watches, and outdoor equipment. Higher IP ratings generally mean better protection, making it easier to choose devices suitable for specific environments, such as outdoor activities or industrial settings.
