IC_410
IC 410 is a bright emission nebula located in the constellation Auriga. It is approximately 12,000 light-years away from Earth and is part of a larger star-forming region. The nebula is known for its distinctive shape, which resembles a butterfly, and contains several young stars that are still in the process of formation.
Within IC 410, there are clusters of stars, including the open cluster NGC 1893. The intense radiation from these young stars ionizes the surrounding gas and dust, causing it to glow. This process contributes to the nebula's vibrant colors and makes it a popular target for astronomers and astrophotographers.
