I of England and Scotland
The term "I of England and Scotland" refers to the historical figure of James VI of Scotland who became James I of England in 1603. This union marked the beginning of the Stuart dynasty in England and the personal union of the two crowns, as he ruled both kingdoms simultaneously.
James I is known for commissioning the King James Version of the Bible, which became one of the most influential translations in the English language. His reign also saw the establishment of the United Kingdom as a concept, although political unification would not occur until later.
