Iñigo López de Mendoza, 2nd Duke of Infantado
Iñigo López de Mendoza, 2nd Duke of Infantado (c. 1440–1515), was a prominent Spanish nobleman and military leader during the late 15th century. He belonged to the powerful House of Mendoza and played a significant role in the politics of Castile. His title, Duke of Infantado, was one of the highest noble ranks in Spain, granting him considerable influence and wealth.
As a military commander, the 2nd Duke participated in various campaigns, including the Granada War, which aimed to conquer the last Muslim kingdom in Spain. He was known for his loyalty to the Spanish crown and his contributions to the unification of Spain under Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon.
