Hydropower Station
A hydropower station is a facility that generates electricity by using the energy of flowing or falling water. Typically built near rivers or dams, these stations harness the kinetic energy of water to turn turbines, which then convert this energy into electrical power. This renewable energy source is considered environmentally friendly as it produces no direct emissions.
The main components of a hydropower station include a dam, a reservoir, and turbines. Water stored in the reservoir is released through the dam, flowing down to spin the turbines. The movement of the turbines generates electricity, which is then transmitted to the power grid for distribution.
