Hyde Hall
Hyde Hall is a historic neoclassical mansion located in Cooperstown, New York. Built between 1817 and 1834, it was designed by architect William H. Smith for George Clarke, a prominent landowner. The house features a unique architectural style, combining elements of both Georgian and Federal designs, and is set on a picturesque hillside overlooking Otsego Lake.
Today, Hyde Hall is preserved as a museum and is part of the New York State Historic Sites. Visitors can explore its beautifully restored rooms and learn about the history of the Clarke family and the early 19th-century life in the region. The site also hosts various educational programs and events throughout the year.
