Hvítá River
The Hvítá River is located in southwestern Iceland and is known for its stunning landscapes and unique geological features. It flows from the glacier-fed Langjökull and travels through the picturesque Þingvellir National Park, eventually merging with the Atlantic Ocean. The river is approximately 40 kilometers long and is a popular destination for outdoor activities such as fishing and white-water rafting.
One of the river's most famous attractions is the Gullfoss Waterfall, which features a dramatic two-tiered cascade. The Hvítá River is also part of the Golden Circle, a popular tourist route that includes other natural wonders like the Geysir Geothermal Area and Þingvellir.
