Hurling and Gaelic Football
Hurling and Gaelic Football are traditional Irish sports governed by the GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association). Hurling is played with a wooden stick called a hurley and a small ball known as a sliotar. The objective is to score by hitting the sliotar into the opponent's goal or over the crossbar for points.
Gaelic Football combines elements of soccer and rugby, played with a round ball. Players can use their hands and feet to pass the ball and score by kicking it into the goal or over the crossbar. Both sports are integral to Irish culture and community identity.
