Humphrey, Duke of Gloucester
Humphrey, Duke of Gloucester (1390-1447), was the youngest son of Henry IV of England and Mary de Bohun. He played a significant role in the politics of the Lancastrian period during the Hundred Years' War. As a prominent nobleman, he served as a regent for his nephew, Henry VI, and was known for his support of the arts and education.
Humphrey was also involved in various military campaigns, including those in France. His political career was marked by conflicts with other nobles, particularly Cardinal Beaufort. Despite his contributions, he faced challenges and controversies, ultimately dying under mysterious circumstances.
