Humpback whale
The Humpback whale is a large marine mammal known for its distinctive body shape and long pectoral fins. They can grow up to 60 feet long and weigh around 40 tons. Humpback whales are found in oceans worldwide and are famous for their complex songs, which they use during mating season.
These whales are known for their acrobatic behaviors, such as breaching and slapping the water with their fins. Humpback whales primarily feed on small fish and krill, using a technique called bubble net feeding to trap their prey. They migrate long distances between feeding and breeding grounds each year.
