The Blue Whale is the largest animal on Earth, reaching lengths of up to 100 feet and weighing as much as 200 tons. These magnificent creatures are known for their long, streamlined bodies and striking blue-gray coloration. They primarily feed on tiny shrimp-like animals called krill, consuming up to 4 tons of them each day during feeding season.
Blue Whales are found in oceans around the world, often migrating thousands of miles between feeding and breeding grounds. Despite their immense size, they are gentle giants, known for their low-frequency calls that can be heard over long distances. Sadly, they are currently classified as endangered due to past whaling activities and ongoing threats from climate change and ship strikes.
