Hugo Junkers
Hugo Junkers was a German engineer and aircraft designer, born on February 3, 1859. He is best known for founding the Junkers aircraft company, which played a significant role in aviation during the early 20th century. Junkers was a pioneer in developing all-metal aircraft, which were more durable and efficient than their wooden counterparts.
One of his most famous designs is the Junkers J 1, the world's first all-metal aircraft, which took flight in 1915. Junkers also contributed to the development of the Junkers F.13, one of the first commercial passenger aircraft. His innovations laid the groundwork for modern aviation technology.
