Hugh III of Champagne
Hugh III of Champagne was a nobleman who lived during the 12th century. He was born around 1140 and became the Count of Champagne in 1181. Hugh was known for his efforts to strengthen the power and influence of his county, as well as for his involvement in the politics of France during his reign.
Hugh III was also a member of the House of Blois, a prominent family in medieval France. He played a significant role in the conflicts of his time, including the Crusades, and was involved in various alliances and marriages that shaped the political landscape of the region. He died in 1197.
