Hoshana
Hoshana, also known as Hoshana Rabbah, is a Jewish holiday that occurs on the seventh day of Sukkot, a week-long festival celebrating the harvest and the gathering of crops. It is a time for prayer and reflection, where special rituals are performed, including the recitation of prayers for salvation and the waving of the willow branches.
During Hoshana, many Jewish communities participate in a procession around the synagogue, holding the Four Species—lulav, etrog, hadass, and aravah. This day is considered the final opportunity for repentance before the conclusion of the High Holy Days, making it a significant moment in the Jewish calendar.
