Hornsea Project Two
Hornsea Project Two is an offshore wind farm located in the North Sea, off the coast of East Yorkshire, England. It is part of a larger initiative to generate renewable energy and reduce carbon emissions. The project has a capacity of 1.4 gigawatts, enough to power over 1.3 million homes.
Construction of Hornsea Project Two began in 2018 and was completed in 2022. It features 165 wind turbines, each capable of producing 8 megawatts of electricity. This project is a significant step towards achieving the UK's goal of increasing its renewable energy capacity and transitioning to a more sustainable energy system.
