Honnō-ji
Honnō-ji is a historic temple located in Kyoto, Japan. It was originally established in the late 15th century and is known for its association with the famous samurai Oda Nobunaga. The temple is a significant site in Japanese history, particularly due to the events of June 21, 1582, when Nobunaga was betrayed and forced to commit seppuku there.
The temple features traditional Japanese architecture and is surrounded by serene gardens. Although the original structures have been rebuilt over the years, Honnō-ji remains a popular destination for visitors interested in Japan's rich cultural heritage and the legacy of the Sengoku period.
