Honduran Wildlife
Honduras is home to a rich variety of wildlife, thanks to its diverse ecosystems, which include tropical rainforests, coral reefs, and mountainous regions. The country hosts over 700 species of birds, such as the vibrant Scarlet Macaw, and numerous mammals, including the endangered Honduran White Bat and the Jaguar.
Marine life is also abundant, particularly in the Bay Islands, where coral reefs support a range of species, including colorful fish and sea turtles. Conservation efforts are crucial to protect these habitats and the unique wildlife that inhabits them, as many species face threats from habitat loss and climate change.
