Honduran President
The Honduran President is the head of state and government in Honduras, responsible for overseeing the executive branch and implementing laws. The president is elected for a four-year term and can serve a maximum of two consecutive terms. The role includes managing national policies, representing the country internationally, and ensuring the welfare of its citizens.
As of October 2023, the current president is Xiomara Castro, who took office in January 2022. She is the first female president in the country's history and is a member of the Liberty and Refoundation party.
