Honduran Holidays
Honduran holidays reflect the country's rich culture and traditions. One of the most significant celebrations is Semana Santa, or Holy Week, which features colorful processions and religious events throughout the country. Another important holiday is Independence Day, celebrated on September 15, marking Honduras' independence from Spain in 1821 with parades and festivities.
In addition to these, La Feria Juniana is a popular festival held in San Pedro Sula every June, showcasing local music, food, and cultural events. Other notable holidays include Día de los Muertos, honoring deceased loved ones, and Christmas, celebrated with family gatherings and traditional meals.
