Holocaust Resistance
Holocaust resistance refers to the efforts made by individuals and groups to oppose the Nazi regime during the Holocaust. This included various forms of resistance, such as armed uprisings, sabotage, and the establishment of underground networks to help Jews escape persecution. Notable examples include the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in 1943, where Jewish fighters took a stand against deportations.
In addition to armed resistance, many people engaged in non-violent acts of defiance. Some individuals, like Oskar Schindler, risked their lives to save Jews by providing them with false papers or shelter. Others participated in cultural resistance, preserving Jewish traditions and identity despite the oppressive environment.
