Hoge Raad der Nederlanden
The Hoge Raad der Nederlanden, or the Supreme Court of the Netherlands, is the highest court in the Dutch judicial system. Established in 1815, it serves as the final court of appeal for civil, criminal, and tax cases. Its primary role is to ensure that laws are interpreted and applied consistently across the country.
The court is located in The Hague and consists of a president and several other judges. The Hoge Raad also plays a crucial role in shaping Dutch law by providing legal guidance and clarifying legal principles through its rulings.
