Hmong Language
The Hmong language is a member of the Hmong-Mien language family, primarily spoken by the Hmong people in regions of Southeast Asia, including Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand. It has several dialects, with the most widely spoken being White Hmong and Green Hmong. The language is tonal, meaning that the pitch used when pronouncing a word can change its meaning.
Hmong is written using the Latin alphabet, known as Romanized Popular Alphabet (RPA), which was developed in the 1950s. The language plays a crucial role in preserving Hmong culture and identity, as it is used in traditional storytelling, music, and rituals.
