History of the Bible
The history of the Bible spans thousands of years, beginning with oral traditions and early writings in ancient Israel. The first five books, known as the Torah, were likely compiled around the 6th century BCE. Over time, various texts were written, including the Psalms and the Prophets, forming the Hebrew Bible.
In the 1st century CE, the New Testament was created, documenting the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and the early Christian community. The Bible was translated into various languages, with the Latin Vulgate in the 4th century and the King James Version in the 17th century, making it accessible to a wider audience.
