Hipomania
Hipomania is a mood state characterized by elevated or irritable mood, increased energy, and heightened activity levels. It is less severe than full-blown mania and can lead to impulsive behavior, racing thoughts, and decreased need for sleep. Individuals experiencing hipomania may feel unusually productive and confident.
This condition is often associated with bipolar disorder, where it can occur during a manic episode or as a standalone episode. While hipomania can lead to positive outcomes, such as increased creativity, it can also result in negative consequences if left unchecked, impacting relationships and daily functioning.
