Hip Dislocation
Hip dislocation occurs when the femur bone is forced out of its socket in the hip joint. This injury can happen due to trauma, such as a fall or car accident, and is often accompanied by severe pain, inability to move the leg, and visible deformity.
There are two main types of hip dislocations: anterior and posterior. Anterior dislocations are less common and occur when the femur moves forward, while posterior dislocations happen when it moves backward. Prompt medical attention is crucial to reduce the dislocation and prevent complications, such as damage to surrounding nerves and blood vessels.
