Hine-titama
Hine-titama is a figure from Māori mythology, known as the daughter of Ranginui (the Sky Father) and Papatūānuku (the Earth Mother). She is often associated with the dawn and is considered a personification of the morning light. Her name translates to "Dawn Maiden," reflecting her connection to new beginnings and the arrival of daylight.
In some stories, Hine-titama transforms into Hine-nui-te-pō, the goddess of death, after discovering her father's identity. This duality represents the cycle of life and death in Māori beliefs. Her narrative emphasizes themes of transformation, identity, and the interconnectedness of life.
