Hinckley Point
Hinkley Point is a site located on the Bristol Channel in Somerset, England, known for its nuclear power stations. It has been home to several reactors since the 1950s, contributing to the UK's energy supply. The site is currently undergoing significant development with the construction of Hinkley Point C, a new nuclear power plant expected to provide low-carbon electricity for millions of homes.
Hinkley Point C is a joint venture between EDF Energy and China General Nuclear Power Group. Once completed, it will be one of the largest construction projects in Europe, aiming to help the UK meet its climate goals by reducing reliance on fossil fuels and increasing renewable energy sources.
