Herman Lay
Herman Lay was an American businessman best known for founding the snack food company Frito-Lay. Born on September 6, 1909, in Nashville, Tennessee, he started his career selling potato chips and eventually expanded his business into a major snack food empire. Under his leadership, Frito-Lay became a household name, known for popular products like Doritos and Cheetos.
Lay was also recognized for his innovative marketing strategies and commitment to quality. He played a significant role in the merger of Frito Company and Lay's in 1961, which solidified the company's position in the snack food industry. He passed away on January 6, 1994.
