Henry of Battenberg
Henry of Battenberg was a British Army officer and a member of the British royal family, born on October 5, 1858. He was the son of Prince Alexander of Hesse and the grandson of Grand Duke Louis II of Hesse. Henry served in various military roles and was known for his dedication to his duties.
In 1884, Henry married Princess Beatrice, the youngest daughter of Queen Victoria. The couple had three children and lived primarily at Osborne House on the Isle of Wight. Henry passed away on January 20, 1896, due to malaria contracted in East Africa.
