Henry Schoolcraft
Henry Schoolcraft was an American geographer, geologist, and ethnologist born on December 28, 1793. He is best known for his extensive studies of Native American cultures and his work in the Upper Midwest of the United States. Schoolcraft played a significant role in documenting the history and traditions of various Native American tribes, particularly the Ojibwe.
In addition to his ethnographic work, Schoolcraft is recognized for his contributions to the understanding of the Geology and natural resources of the region.
