Henry Brougham
Henry Brougham was a British lawyer, politician, and social reformer born on September 19, 1778. He played a significant role in the founding of the Edinburgh Review, a prominent literary and political journal. Brougham was also a key figure in the abolition of slavery in the British Empire and advocated for educational reforms.
In addition to his legal and political work, Brougham served as the Lord Chancellor of Great Britain from 1830 to 1834. He was known for his passionate speeches and commitment to social justice, influencing various reforms in areas such as education and women's rights. Brougham passed away on May 7, 1868.
