Hemis National Park
Hemis National Park is located in the eastern part of the Ladakh region in India. Established in 1981, it is known for its stunning landscapes, including rugged mountains and deep valleys. The park covers an area of approximately 4,400 square kilometers and is home to diverse wildlife, including the elusive snow leopard and the Himalayan blue sheep.
The park is also significant for its rich cultural heritage, featuring ancient monasteries like Hemis Monastery, which is one of the largest and wealthiest in Ladakh.
