Hellinikon
Hellinikon is a former airport located in Athens, Greece. It was operational from 1938 until 2001 and served as the main international airport for the city. After its closure, the site became a significant area for urban redevelopment.
The Hellinikon project aims to transform the 6,200,000 square meters of land into a mixed-use development. Plans include residential areas, parks, commercial spaces, and cultural facilities, making it one of the largest urban regeneration projects in Europe. The initiative is expected to boost the local economy and enhance the quality of life for residents.
