Hellebore
Hellebore is a genus of flowering plants in the family Ranunculaceae, known for their early blooms in late winter to early spring. These perennial plants are often found in woodland areas and are valued for their attractive, cup-shaped flowers that come in various colors, including white, pink, and purple. Hellebores thrive in shaded or partially shaded environments and prefer well-drained soil.
Many species of hellebore are also known for their medicinal properties, although they can be toxic if ingested. They are often used in gardens for their ability to provide color during the colder months and are sometimes referred to as "Christmas roses" or "Lenten roses" due to their blooming season.
