Helcaraxë
Helcaraxë is a fictional region from J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium, specifically found in the stories of The Silmarillion. It is a treacherous and icy strait that separates the lands of Middle-earth from the northern continent of Aman, where the Valar reside.
The Helcaraxë is known for its harsh conditions, including freezing temperatures and dangerous icebergs. It plays a significant role in the history of the Noldor, an Elven race, as they crossed it during their exile from Aman to Middle-earth in pursuit of the Silmarils.
