Heinrich I
Heinrich I, also known as Heinrich der Vogler or Henry the Fowler, was the Duke of Saxony and later became the first King of the Germans from 919 until his death in 936. He played a crucial role in the establishment of the Holy Roman Empire and is recognized for his efforts to consolidate various Germanic tribes under a single rule. His reign marked the beginning of a more unified German state.
Heinrich I is remembered for his military campaigns against the Magyars and Slavs, which helped secure the borders of his kingdom.
