Heineken Kidnapping
The Heineken Kidnapping refers to the abduction of Freddy Heineken, the CEO of the Dutch brewing company Heineken, in 1983. Heineken was kidnapped by a group of criminals in Amsterdam, who demanded a ransom of 35 million Dutch guilders for his release.
After a 21-hour ordeal, Heineken and his driver were freed when the ransom was paid.
