Heart Nebula
The Heart Nebula, also known as IC 1805, is a large emission nebula located in the constellation Cassiopeia. It is approximately 7,500 light-years away from Earth and spans about 200 light-years across. The nebula gets its name from its heart-like shape, which is formed by the glowing gas and dust that are illuminated by nearby young stars.
This nebula is a region of active star formation, where new stars are born from the surrounding gas and dust. The intense radiation from these young stars causes the surrounding material to glow, creating a stunning display of colors. The Heart Nebula is often studied by astronomers to understand the processes of star formation and the evolution of nebulae.
