Hauberk
A hauberk is a type of medieval armor that covers the upper body and arms. Typically made of chainmail, it was designed to protect knights and soldiers during battles. The hauberk often reached down to the knees and had sleeves, providing both mobility and defense against weapons like swords and arrows.
In addition to its protective qualities, the hauberk was often worn over a padded garment called a gambeson for added comfort. This armor was a crucial part of a knight's gear, alongside other items like the helmet and shield, ensuring they were well-protected in combat situations.
