Hassan-i Sabbah
Hassan-i Sabbah was a Persian Nizari Ismaili leader who founded the Hashshashin, a secretive group known for their strategic use of assassination during the late 11th century. He established the fortress of Alamut in present-day Iran, which became the center of his operations and a symbol of his power.
