Haringvliet
Haringvliet is a large estuary located in the southwestern part of the Netherlands. It connects the North Sea to the Haringvliet Dam, which was completed in 1971 as part of the Delta Works project. This dam plays a crucial role in flood protection and water management in the region.
The estuary is known for its diverse ecosystems, including wetlands and habitats for various bird species. It is also a popular spot for recreational activities such as sailing, fishing, and birdwatching, attracting both locals and tourists to enjoy its natural beauty.
